Banana Bread

Ingredients
  

  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 medium egg
  • 76 g melted butter
  • 40 g crushed walnuts
  • 80 ml milk
  • 128 g all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven at 350°F / 177°C / Gas Mark 4
  • Mash the bananas.
  • Add sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, egg and butter to the mashed bananas.
  • Add walnuts, milk and mix well.
  • Add all-purpose flour (sieve first) and baking powder to the ingredients and mix together.
  • Grease a 2lb bread tin with butter and pour in the batter.
  • Bake in the oven for 40 minutes on the third shelf from the bottom. Cooking time may vary depending on your oven. Insert toothpick in the center, if clear then it is cooked. Let it cool down before removing from tin.
